The Patchwork and Quilting Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the WRVS hall behind Berridge House on the corner of Park Drive. We meet from 1.30 to 4.00 pm and the cost is £2 per meeting to cover costs. Parking is available behind the hall ( at the far end of the car park). We concentrate on the three skills of quilting, patchwork and applique and produce a variety of items such as cushions, bags, quilts, decorations and much, much more.

Included in our programme are some trips to shows and shops in order to further our knowledge and experience. We are mixed as to the level of our experience, but all participate in the teaching according to their expertise. We are a caring, sharing group for all levels of expertise and beginners are welcome to learn our skill and have fun. By the way, there are some excellent male needlepersons in the quilt world, if any men would like to try.

quilt We completed a Linus quilt as a group venture. Linus quilts are made for children in trauma. Each quilt goes to an individual child to keep for ever. We send them mainly to children at Broomfield Burns Unit, hospices and refuges.
