The Reading Group meets at a member’s home on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 2.30pm for a couple of hours. We read a variety of books, mainly novels, suggested by members of the group, and we choose books for a couple of months ahead, so that members have the opportunity to order from the library. Our lively discussions are sometimes guided by questions taken from various sites on the Web, or we might talk about characters, or the plot, and compare impressions. Only once have we said 'Unreadable!'

Most of us who enjoy a "good read" will find a time and place where, in solitude, we immerse ourselves in the lives and minds of the book's characters, that mostly fade away as a different novel becomes the next "good read". Through lively discussion and sensitive observations, our Reading Group sessions enhance the enjoyment and understanding of our chosen author's writing.

New members are very welcome.
