Monthly trips to the theatre in Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend and London, plus events local to Maldon are chosen by members. We see ballet, opera, musicals, plays and concerts. Sheets are put out at monthly meetings so that you can sign your name to reserve a place. Cheques must be written at this point to Blackwater U3A No 2 account. Reservations can also be made to the coordinator by telephone, sending a cheque by post.

Transport is arranged for you. Those who choose not to drive are driven by others who are happy to do so. A donation to cover fuel is given to the driver. These are very friendly outings where people soon get to know one another, and all can enjoy wonderful evenings or matinees, sometimes including a meal first. You may be on your own, but you will soon feel among friends.
